On 24 July 2025 the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall of approximately 790 “Apollo City 2024” electric scooters due to a potential front‑tube weld failure that could cause riders to fall. These scooters were imported and sold by Apollo Imports Inc. (trading as “Apollo Scooters”).

Zhejiang Apollo Sports Technology Co., Ltd. (“Apollo Sports”) hereby makes the following clarification to prevent any public misunderstanding:

1. Completely Independent Brands and Business Scopes

Apollo Sports (full name: Zhejiang Apollo Sports Technology Co., Ltd.) is a Chinese manufacturer dedicated to the research, development, production and export of off‑road motorcycles and electric off‑road motorcycles. We do not design, manufacture or sell electric scooters of any kind.

“Apollo Scooters / Apollo City” is a personal‑mobility brand operated in North America by Apollo Imports Inc., Canada. Despite the shared word “Apollo,” the two companies are entirely separate legal entities with no cross‑ownership, cooperation or affiliation.

Apollo City Electric Scooter (Apollo Imports Inc.)

The “Apollo City” electric scooter shown in media coverage is not an Apollo Sports product and is manufactured by a Shenzhen-based technology company.

Apollo Sports Off-Road Motorcycle (Our Product)

Apollo Sports specializes in high-performance off-road motorcycles and electric off-road motorcycles. Our products are known for their quality, innovation, and advanced technology in the motorsports industry.

2. No Supply, Licensing or Technical Relationship

Apollo Sports has never supplied components, technology, after‑sales services, trademarks, patents or any other commercial resources to the above‑mentioned scooter company.

3. Manufacturer Identified

We understand that a Shenzhen‑based technology company is the contracted manufacturer of the recalled scooters.

4. Liability Clarification

All quality issues, consumer claims or legal disputes arising from the “Apollo City 2024” scooter recall are the sole responsibility of Apollo Imports Inc. and its related parties. Apollo Sports bears no liability whatsoever.

Apollo Sports reserves the right to pursue legal action against any party that misrepresents or exploits our company name for promotion or sales.
